Nagashi-sōmen (流しそうめん)

Sōmen are thin Japanese noodles made from wheat flour, that cook quickly.  In Japan they're usually eaten cold with a simple dipping broth throughout summer, as a refreshing dish to help you cool down.  A fun and original way to enjoy these noodles are at nagashi-sōmen restaurants, where you catch them as they flow past you in bamboo water slides.
